Scrip Information
Scrip is the ongoing fundraiser for the Alma Music Programs. Scrip is another word for "gift card." Thousands of business participate in this program by allowing the customer to purchase a gift card for their business and then giving a percentage of the money spent on the gift card back to the organization that sold it. The beauty of the scrip program is that you are only spending money you would already be spending; however, by going through the extra easy step of using the gift card, the music boosters are able to raise money to help enrich the music programs. Also, as an incentive for taking that extra step, half of the money you raise for the music boosters by purchasing scrip cards is held in your student's account. The money in your student's account can then be redeemed to pay for music related items such as band camp, music supplies, solo and ensemble festival fees, or private lessons. To reserve money for your student's account, when purchasing scrip, tell the person selling you the scrip which student account you'd like the money to go towards, then use the student account withdrawal form to use the money.
Scrip is available for purchase or order at the Alma Sewing Center during regular business hours. Thank you to Ken Solomon and his employees for helping us make scrip easily available to you.
